Pressure Calculator
Preliminary pressure calculations.
Project & Input Data
Your project criterion: enter the value from your governing code, specification or approved supplier data. No standard value is assumed.

Engineering Assumptions
Direct calculation — Hazen-Williams equation
- The required pressure at the remote point and the C coefficient are taken from the standard and the approved pipe data for the project.
- All percentages and inputs are user-defined; the calculation is purely arithmetic and assumes no particular code or specification.
Formula Summary
- Static pressure (bar) = elevation × 9810 ÷ 100000
- hf(m) = 10.67 × L × Q^1.852 ÷ (C^1.852 × D^4.8704)
- Total pressure = nozzle required + static + friction

Engineering Insight
This calculation covers a single pipe run only; a complete multi-path network needs a full computerised hydraulic calculation.
Recommended Action
Use the resulting total pressure for preliminary pump selection only, and refer the final design to a full approved hydraulic calculation.
Next step
This calculator is fully usable as it is. Professional adds saved projects, calculation history and PDF/Excel reports; Premium adds the integrated workflows and the BOQ generator.
