Frequently asked questions
- Does the count include mortar?
- No. The count uses the block face area and ignores joint thickness. Mortar volume needs an approved mix and joint dimension, which this engine does not assume.
- Why is the result always a whole number?
- Blocks cannot be ordered in fractions, so the total after waste is rounded up to the next whole block.
- Can I model several identical walls at once?
- Yes — the number-of-walls input multiplies the gross area before openings are deducted.
- What block size should I enter?
- The face length and height of the block specified for your works. No standard block size is assumed for you.
